biography

Dr. William is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT). Earlier, he was a founding Mechanical Engineering faculty member at the School of Engineering of Coventry University in Egypt. He received his Ph.D. from Universidad de Oviedo in Gijon, Spain, with the highest grade, "Outstanding with Distinction". He holds M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees with an Excellent with Honors from the AASTMT. He has a track record of publications in the field, in addition to professional memberships, certifications, and engineering consultations. In addition to his scholarly achievements, Dr. William has actively contributed to various professional societies and committees. Notable among these is his role in the Technology Transfer Committee (CTTC) in the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). He holds memberships in esteemed organizations such as ASHRAE, AIA, ASME, IBPSA, and AEE where he plays an integral role in advancing the field through his expertise and insights. He has been invited as a guest speaker at international conferences and seminars, in addition to being a reviewer in several international conferences and journals (Elsevier, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, MDPI, and PLOS One). With expertise in ThermoFluid Sciences, HVAC, Renewable Energies, and Energy-efficiency, Dr. William currently supervises Ph.D. and M.Sc. students in Europe and Egypt, fostering their growth and contributions in these vital fields. Dr. William’s dedication to sustainability has earned him recognition, notably through his appointment as the Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the TMREES Conference Series by the European Academy for Sustainable Development (EURACA). This prestigious role underscores his significant impact on advancing sustainable practices and fostering collaboration within the academic community, affirming his reputation in the field.
